A couple of new layouts

We have had some beautiful weather this week, so the kids and I have been taking advantage of it and playing outside as much as possible. I snuck in some scrappy time after they went to bed, though. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Check it out!

I am so honored to have been awarded the Arte y Pico award by my dear friend, and the super talented Kimberly Crawford. Kim's work is amazing and always inspiring, and I am so flattered that she chose me to pass the award on to. The idea of this award is to pass it on to five other bloggers whom you think are creative and contribute a lot to the blogging community. I am passing it on to:

Amy & Jen - The Cool Chicks
Heather - In The Best World
Kelli - Yard Sale Kind of Luck
Joscie - Oh Scrap!
Linda - Art Playground

Spring is finally here

Well, almost, anyway. The temperature is slowly climbing from the chilly 30 degrees we had here this morning up to the lower 60s today. Then the rest of the week we are supposed to be in the 70s. I have been itching to scrap some of the pictures we took of the kids in the Easter flowers, so I was digging through my stash of paper last night and came across a brand new pack of BasicGrey Perhaps that I had never even cut into. I used the Fiskars Threading Water border punch, Prima flowers, Making Memories brads, American Crafts Thickers for the title, and Cat's Eye inks on the edges of the papers. Here is Grow, Bloom, Discover.

New Sketch Blog

If you haven't checked out the new sketch blog, Triple the Sketch, you really should. A new sketch is posted every Friday along with example layouts by the design team. On Saturday, cards are revealed using the same sketch. On Sunday, tags/altered items are posted. Here is my take on this week's sketch. I used Fancy Pants About a Boy papers, grungeboard alphas that I painted, and grungeboard swirl and heart that I inked with Stampin' Up inks, and Making Memories rub ons. The title is Your Smile Melts My Heart.

CSS is no more...

The final day for Creative Scrap Shack was yesterday. The end was sudden and unexpected, but it was a fun ride while it lasted. I met some of the most amazing ladies there that I truly can call my friends. I thouroughly enjoyed being on the Design Team and working with each and every one of those amazingly talented women. You can now find us at a new site called Creative Scrap Land. My entire online scrap gallery has been lost, but I will be building a new one very soon. In the meantime, here is a new layout that I created last weekend using some new Fancy Pants papers.
