Latest Sketch at Creative Scrappers

Today was reveal day for Team B at Creative Scrappers, which means I have a new page posted. This week's sketch was provided by Deanne Burton. It is a really fun sketch and provides the opportunity to mix a lot of patterned papers which I love doing! Click here to check out the sketch and see what all of the other members of the Design Team created. Here is my page:

Here are a few more things going on right now at Creative Scrappers:

Mini Crop will be July 25-27, and Kristine is giving out a little prize for someone who comes up with a catchy name for the crop.

I can finally spill the beans!!

I am so excited to finally be able to share this news. Ok, I've only known for a couple of days, but it feels like forever! I received a phone call from Debbie Schroeder with Crop Addict asking me to join their Creative Team!! I am so honored to be joining this team and looking forward to working with all of the other wonderfully talented ladies on this team!

A Card to Share

I had the privilege of being the recipient of one of these awesome handmade floral embellishments by Tessa Ann Watte. Tessa Ann was one of our guest designers recently at Creative Scrappers, and her work is awesome. She sells her handmade embellishments in her Etsy store which you can check out here. Here is a card I created using one of Tessa Ann's flowers:

Halfway through June

Can you believe we are halfway through June already? Where does the time go? We have been spending as much time as we can outside. Which is good because I have been getting some good pictures. I used some pictures I took at the pond a couple of weeks ago for my layout that I did for the new sketch that was posted at Creative Scrappers today. It was a really fun sketch to work with. Check it out and play along with us and post your page in the Creative Scrappers gallery. I have been on a BasicGrey kick lately and used their Archaic line for this page based on the sketch. I made the flower with ovals cut from the paper and just curled the edges.

Here is another page I did for the Last Scrapper Standing contest at Create My Keepsake. The challenge was to scrap your weakness. I chose to scrap about my weakness for Bare Escentuals makeup. Again, I used BasicGrey papers from the Sugared line, Prima flowers and Say It In Crystals, BasicGrey rub ons, American Crafts Thickers, Stampin' Up stamps and BasicGrey alpha stickers.

I won!!

I just found out today that I won the manufacturer challenge for May at Crop Addict! The challenge was to create a layout using at least 70% Crate Paper products. I had picked up the Static collection during my last trip to Archivers, so I thought I would give it a shot. For the title, I inked the chipboard letters and then layered Thickers on top of the chipboard.

I've been working on several other projects, but I can't share any of them just yet. Be sure and visit the Creative Scrappers blog for the latest sketch, and I'm working on a new layout for the new sketch that will be posted on Sunday. I also received my July kit from Kit 'N' Kaboodles, and oh my goodness, it is so beautiful! I am so excited that they chose me to be their guest designer for July! Also, for you local gals, I have several projects coming up for Lavender Sentiments as well, and will post them very soon. This is proving to be a very fun scrappy month!

A new sketch at Creative Scrappers

Here is the sketch this week at Creative Scrappers, and this was the week for my team to create layouts. This week's sketch was designed by Jodie Kautzner.

Here is my "True Beauty" layout based on this sketch. I used Pink Paislee Spring Fling paper, Prima flowers, Fancy Pants and Stampin' Up stamps, Crate Paper ribbon trim, KaiserCraft rhinestones and Making Memories brads. I stamped the title directly on the picture, and the stamped words were one large stamp that I stamped and then cut the words out and blocked them.

You can see what the rest of the Design Team did with this sketch here. Feel free to participate in the challenge and post your take on the sketch in the Creative Scrappers gallery under Weekly Sketch Challenges.
