Creative Kits Blog

I have a new blog for you to check out! As many of you know, Kristine Davidson, Tanya Lamo, and I have been designing monthly layout kits for Creative Scrappers. These kits have been becoming increasingly popular, so as a way to keep customers and anyone else who might be interested informed, we have created a Creative Kits Blog! We will be posting information regarding the monthly kits, shipping notices, sneak peeks, featured layouts, and even some prizes and giveaways, so be sure and check it often to stay up to date!
For those of you who don't know what a Creative Layout Kit is, here is some information. Each kit contains enough paper and embellishments to create two layouts as well as enough additional product to create a few pages on your own. What makes our kits different from the rest? Well, before the kit is released to subscribers, the kit designer creates two layouts using that month's kit, and included in each kit are two custom made sketches and instructions based on those layouts. So the planning is already done for you! You have a complete kit with exactly what you need to create two gorgeous layouts, and you don't have to think about layout or design because the sketches and instructions are included! You don't get a bunch of extra stuff that you may or may not use, so you save time and money with these kits!

Sounds good, right? Prices for kits are as follows:
A single kit - $14.44 USD each ($16.95 Canadian)
3 month subscription - $12.74 USD each ($14.95 Canadian)
6 month subscription - $11.03 USD each ($12.95 Canadian)

That is a great value for everything you get in the kits! Click here for more information about Layout Kit subscriptions and to see sneak peeks of past kits. If you are a US resident, be sure to convert the currency to US dollars on the right side of the page. Current kit subscriptions will be starting with April kits as February and March have already sold out! Here is a sneak peek at what is coming up for February kits which I will be working on this week!

Making Memories Love Notes
The March kit features the My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow collection.
Aren't they gorgeous? Be sure and check out the Creative Kits blog to keep up with what's new with these kits. Are you more of a mini album person? In addition to the layout kits, Kristine also designs some amazing mini albums each month. They are beautiful and so fun to put together, and these kits include everything you need to complete an entire mini album each month! Click here for pricing information and sneak peeks of past and upcoming Creative Kits! I hope you will join us in a little monthly creativity and inspiration!

More KnK Goodies and a Guest Designer Opportunity

Here are the rest of my creations with the February kit from Kit 'n' Kaboodles. I have completely exhausted this kit, and there isn't a stitch of it left! I had so much fun cutting out little butterflies and tags. If you want one of these kits, you need to hurry and get it now before they are sold out!Creative Scrappers is looking for a Guest Designer for our March 1st reveal! If you are interested, you must submit a layout based on the sketch below which I created. In honor of Valentine's Day, we want to see the color red this month, so we are asking that the background of your page be red. Click here for more information on this contest.
Speaking of Creative Scrappers, we were featured in the February Blog Bay at ScrapStreet! Click here to read the article and interview with Kristine. It also featured layouts created by Tanya Lamo, Sharon Suchoronczak, and me!I would also like to thank some very special and talented ladies who have so graciously given me some blog awards! I'm terrible at keeping up with these, but want you all to know that it seriously makes my day and puts a huge smile on my face when I get one of these! A big thank you goes out to:

Creative Scrappers Sketch #37

I can't believe it is already February. I'm not really sure where January went. It's also Sunday which means a new sketch at Creative Scrappers! This week's sketch was provided by Kristine Davidson herself! I actually got brave and dusted off my sewing machine for this page. I used papers from Graphic 45. Flowers are Heidi Swapp, Petaloo, and Bazzill. The large Heidi Swapp flower was pink, but I sprayed it with red glimmer mist. The chipboard pieces are sprayed with glimmer mist too. The red flourish that holds the title is a Fancy Pants glitter cut. The butterfly is from Petaloo. Click here to check out the sketch and what the rest of the Design Team created.

February KnK kit reveal, first installment

I know that I mentioned before how much I love this kit, and I'm so excited to finally be able to share a few of the things I've created with it. I have had so much fun cutting out butterflies and playing with these gorgeous ribbons. Webster's Pages and Graphic 45 are two of my favorite manufacturers right now, and I was ecstatic to see the two of them combined in this kit. Here are a few of my creations.
I got the idea for the box from my friend, Kimberly Crawford. She is seriously talented, and if you haven't checked out her blog, you really should! I used my Cuttlebug and the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 1 dies to cut and emboss the top and bottom of the box.

I have a few other things to share with you using this kit, but I'll save them for a little later. I will tell you that I just couldn't stop creating with this kit and have used it up entirely. If you don't have this kit, click here and grab one before they sell out!

Also, I wanted to remind you to be sure and join us tonight at 9pm EST at Creative Scrappers for the One Hour Layout Contest! These are always so much fun! Kristine will post a sketch for you at 9pm, and you have one hour to complete your page and then 15 minutes to upload it into the gallery. You need one 5x7 photo for this page. Click here for more details. Hope to see you there!

February Kit Reveal at Kit 'n' Kaboodles

Isn't it gorgeous?? I am so loving this kit, and I have been having so much fun playing with it. Included in this kit are papers from Webster's Pages, Graphic 45, and Creative Imaginations, lollipop flowers from Prima, Prima Say it in Crystals, and some beautiful May Arts ribbons.

I can't post any of my creations until the 26th, but I'll give you a little sneak peek of what I've been working on.
I've also been playing with my new toy - the Dymo Caption Maker. I seriously love this thing. If you like using journaling strips, this tool is a must have. It comes with three font wheels - upper case, lower case, and script. Just pop them in and out. You can also get the embossing tape in tons of colors. FYI, I got mine at LabelValue.com for $18.95 with free shipping!

Happy New Year!

2008 has come and gone, and 2009 is finally here! I hope this year brings my dear family and friends nothing but good health and happiness. I have a couple more projects to share with you using the January kit from Kit 'n' Kaboodles. This has been such a fun kit to work with. Here is my layout titled "She".

I used one of the 6x6 black chipboard pieces to create this wall hanging. The quote is from Albert Einstein and reads, "Imagination is more important than knowledge."

Hope you are all having a wonderful holiday!
